“My internship at Marinos Fitness was a definitely a life changing and eye-opening experience for me. Before this internship I had always been so focused on pursuing a career in strength and conditioning that worked with younger athletes, without considering other populations. Though, this internship opened my eyes to entirely different career paths. This internship taught me how to carry myself around clients of all ages in a professional work environment and really allowed me to get hands on with the training ques and techniques. Soon after this internship I landed what has been a dream job for me so far, and I cannot begin to stress enough how much this internship prepared me for it! Everything that I learned at Marino’s fitness has made the transition to a professional job seamless.”
“My internship at Marino’s gave me the opportunity to learn from experts in the field of exercise. All of the coaches and clients were very willing and accommodating to teach me different exercises as well as the progressions and regressions of each exercise. The semi-private training environment allowed me to quickly build connections with the coaches and clients. This helped me adapt to the new environment, making me feel very comfortable and included in the staff. They provided a lot of active participation which enhanced my ability to learn from them. I can’t thank the coaches enough for their time, talent, expertise, and dedication during my time as an intern to help better myself and my knowledge in the field of exercise.”
“I was an intern at Marino’s Fitness during my junior year at Temple University. Marino’s always had my interest due to their innovative/unique programming style and their ability to tailor every patient’s program to their specific needs. In my experience, in the field of exercise science, most internships are used as a means for free labor, with some learning trickled throughout. During my first 2 weeks interning at Marino’s, I learned more than I did at my previous internship in its entirety. I was on the floor learning 95% of the time and was treated as one of the staff – which I cannot say about my previous internships. The coaching staff is extremely knowledgeable and was always open to answering any questions I asked. This internship helped shape how I view exercise and programming and prepared me to enter the field after graduation. ”
“I absolutely enjoyed my time at Marino’s while completing my internship. From the first day I learned and gained so much knowledge from those who share a love and interest for everything in the exercise science field. The fellow coaches are passionate about what they do and eager to teach anyone who wants to learn. They were easy to approach and form relationships with, along with the clients I met. I knew I always had an interest in the general population group, and from interning here at Marinos it was confirmed I am heading in the right direction. I loved how it was semi-private training so I was able to form personal relationships with each of the clients I interacted with. Learning how to adapt certain movements that aid in a client’s progress is exactly what we are expected to do as coaches and I was happy to learn from the experts at Marino’s. I definitely recommend Marino’s as an internship because I have already learned a ton just from the small amount of experience I have gotten while here.”
